As the final year of my high school experience keeps flying by, i find myself stressing a bit to stay on pace in all of my 7 classes. I am having trouble staying on pace in two of the most challenging courses i selected for this year which are AP spanish and Physics. However i know i can finish these classes if i do not allow myself to get distracted or procrastinate.
A few goals i have my mind set on before my senior year is over are a 4.0 GPA, finished in the top 10 in my class, get a scholarship for baseball, and enjoy my senior year at its full potential. I know i have set very high goals for myself but they are all reachable and i will make sure to do my best to accomplish all of them by praying to god and working very hard to complete my missions. I am a strong believer in setting very high goals for yourself because at the end of the day if you do not reach them you still gain more from it than you would if you have chosen a more basic or simple goal. A few skills i have been working on in order to succeed in college are: being well organized, finishing work early, and double checking my work before turning it in. I know that if i want to succeed in college i need to be well organized in preparing myself for all the challenges i will be facing in my college career. Without a good organized backpack or room i know i will be making things a lot harder and stressful on myself. I am also working on finishing all my work as soon as i get it in order to end my procrastination and not turn things in the last minute. By doing my academics work on time, that will save me a lot of spare time and prevent me from growing gray hair. Lastly the last skill i am bettering in is double checking my work. I know i could get better scores if i would take the time to double check my finished product and correct any mistakes i made but due to doing everything last minute i have to worry on other work as well. That's why i know i must work on ending my procrastination, becoming more organized, and double checking all my work. I feel that a lot of teachers have been supporting me in preparing me for post graduation especially Mr.s Torres and Mr. Gutierrez. They are both avid teachers here in lindsay High School and fortunately i have avid with Mr.s Torres who is constantly on my case preparing me for the college life and what to expect from it. Mr. Gutierrez has also been very supportive in helping me apply to universities, sign up for EOP’s and also with academics that i am struggling in, he always takes the time to help me through it. Thanks to these two teachers, i feel confident that i will be ready for what the college life has to offer. So far my senior year is going well, i am excited for my last year in lindsay high school as well as a little scared since i know i will be moving out pretty soon. it has only been one week of school and i am already starting to get a bit stressed out just by thinking of the day i will be moving out, graduation, senior exit interview, and most of all passing the year with a high GPA. However, i am glad that i am playing football because it is a sport that is very exciting especially on friday nights when we are playing a rivalry team and the game is very close in the fourth quarter. Thanks to football i am not only enjoying my senior year the right way but i am also allowing my mind and body to be stress free and focus on having fun.
I am truly proud of myself for working hard in school my last three years for the reason that it has not only kept me on pace but it has also allowed me to choose classes i find myself enjoying like for example: physics, drama, and Fitness Training. These three classes i have mentioned are all beneficial to me not only because i need drama for a fine art but because i can learn a lot from physics when it comes to motion and workout in fitness training for football as well as baseball. I am truly thankful to god for blessing me with the greatest parents a kid can ask for. without them i know i could have possibly gone in a whole different path but thanks to god and my parents, they helped me choose the right path. This year i am not only going to work on classes that seniors should be taking but i will also be working on classes that are recommended to take to boost your chances of getting into a more prestige university. My goals for the future are very high but reachable. I would like to finish off my senior year with a 4.0 GPA or higher and get accepted to a 4 year university that includes the major of kinesiology. I would like to be a physical therapist when i grow up and save up money to start my own clinic in order to become my own boss and make more money. I do not plan on being rich but instead plan on donating as much money as i possibly can without becoming bankrupt and losing all i have accomplished, to orphanages, people in need of money, and catholic churches. I would not like to live in a big house for the reason that i will hardly be spending most of my time at home. I would rather prefer buying a bigger house for my parents to move into once they are retired and will stay at home more often. I have lots of goals planned out for the future as you can see and i will make sure to accomplish each goal by praying, working hard in school/life, and not quitting when life puts walls in front of my path. Throughout my junior year here at Lindsay High school, I have been fortunate enough to not only improve in academics but in life as well. I am proud to have taken challenging classes like AP English and Physiology this year not only because it improves my academics and looks good on my transcript but because it showed me a new way of learning in a more advanced way.
However due to having challenging classes this year and playing sports, I have been falling behind in academics. In the future I need to work on time management especially if I want to go to a 4 year university. Although I manage to get through the years with a passing grade, I need to change my work ethics for the better by ending my procrastination and striving to finish more grades with level fours. Not only do I need to end my procrastination but I must also try to finish all my work as fast as possible. By ending procrastination and striving for level 4’s, I will not only finish my school year with a passing grade but I will finish sooner and with high level grades that increase my chances of going to the more prestige universities. so far junior year has been very stressful due to all the work assigned to me in all my classes but i am glad that i am managing to finish all my assignments on time. AP English has been by far the hardest class i have taken but i am truly glad i was accepted because i know it is going to benefit me for the future. I have learned what it takes to be a good writer, how much time i need to spend studying and doing work after school in order to pass, but the most important wake up call i had this year was my time
