Throughout my high school career, I have been fortunate enough to figure out some talents and accomplishments that have shaped the person I am today. One talent I figured out I have is the talent of having people like me. I am thankful to God for blessing me with the trait of making people laugh, putting a smile on their face when they are down, and overall making them feel comfortable around me. I am truly grateful for this talent because I know it provides many benefits that will help me when applying for work or trying to make new friends in college. Not only do I have the ability to make people like me, but I also am thankful for having amazing parents and family members that raised me to be respectful and caring to others in my life. Most of the teachers that have had me as a student have always told my parents how respectful and helpful I was to them and this was proven evident when i kept achieving level fours in life skills for helping others and working hard in my classrooms .This really got me excited because later on as I grew older, not only was I hearing it from teachers but friends who needed someone to talk to as well.
As a result of these talents, a few accomplishments that came from them include a good reputation, others having trust in me, being considered a friend and a person everyone can come and talk to. I can recall a time when a friend of mine was having trouble in her relationship and she came and talked to me because she felt that she could trust me in keeping a secret and most importantly she knew i could give her honest advice that she needed to hear. I am truly grateful and blessed for these accomplishments because i know if i could get these in a high school where students don't really trust and like each other, i know i can get them in college or in my job.
Not only am i thankful to my family for raising me well but i am also glad that they allowed me to play football and baseball because each sport taught me their own valuable lessons. Playing football taught me how to be tough and take in whatever coaches have to tell you, even if you do not agree with it or the tone because in the future you might not like your bosses and you might have to put up with them just to keep your job. Baseball, however, taught me how to have patience and wait for that right moment to capitalize on whatever task i am performing and i know that if you have good patience, you are more likely to succeed in life and accomplish more. Lastly, both sports are very different, but both taught me the most valuable lessons, which are to be dedicated and to work hard in anything you do to reach the top and be successful.
